After packing our day bags full of snacks and water, getting lost on our way to the zoo, thanks a lot MapQuest for your crappy directions, we finally got to the famous Hogle Zoo for the 4th of July. We really wanted to make it a family weekend and that is exactly what we did. It was fun to see Bella react to all the different animals. Here is just a taste of what we did...
Bella's life size Ellie the Elephant
Picture perfect Zebras :)
My favorite animal in the whole world!
Look how close they got to us!
A Meerkat staring right at Bella...she would follow the glass up and down when it moved up and down.
The carousel...Bella wanted a bench, not an animal.
The last thing to do...the train ride.
The Beginning of the Day...............The End of the Day
The girls were awesome, we loved the whole day. The only thing left to do was naps and fireworks!

Candace-Hi!! So glad you found me, I have often wondered how life was going for you. You have such a cute cute little girl. And Guitar Hero, heck ya- we actually play Rockband a lot, I like the drums better than the guitar :) It'd be fun to get together and play, are you still living out of state? Anyways hopefully we'll talk soon. -Alicia
What a fun day to introduce Bella to the zoo! You should teach Bella the song "never smile at a crocodile" that white croc looks pretty smiley. :)
And those zebras really are perfect! Thanks for sharing your day with your sis who is so far away. It feels a little closer now!
Hi Candace! Your daughter is sooo cute! Looks like you had fun at Hogle Zoo, we are going in a few weeks. How are you?
How fun! We love going to the Zoo...the Portland Zoo is really nice! Bella is adorable and I wish we were closer so we could all hang out! Hope you all have a great rest of your summer!
